Where does the name "Gem" come from?

"Gem comes from gemela, the Spanish word for twin — a nod to Hafele's sisters. The logo, inspired by the mathematical symbol for congruency and reimagined into a hat by her younger sister, has become a meaningful family emblem they all share."
